The concrete sculptures are made through my mold making process. After sculpting the piece in oil - based clay I create a urethane rubber and plaster mold. The mold is then used to pour the concretes (they are also utilized as molds for wax - for the process of bronze making). After pouring the concrete (which is a mixture of cement, fine sand, and plasticizer) the pieces are primed and hand painted - each one different from the last.
